  1. St Molaise got the privilege of saying Mass on an altar in the Vatican. Another priest jealous of this favour granted to St Molaise tore out the Gospel from the Mass Book. St Molaise noticed the missing when he came that far, and at the Gospel a dove descended and placed a copy of the Gospel on the Book. when St Molaise was finished he took it with him and this is now enclosed in the Shrine of St Molaise. The offending priest begged pardon and was forgiven.
