A giant came from Limerick to Leathárdán in North Kerry. He came to a house and asked the woman of the house what were the men doing. She said they were minding bulls on the hill nearby. He asked her what exercise had they and she said throwing a stone that was seven tons over the castle. He said he would chance it and he threw the stone over the castle easily and caught it at the other side again. She was amazed at that. He asked her to serve him dinner.
