    It was a Landlady who owned our district many years ago. Her name was "Lady Wren". She was very good and kind to all her tenants. She presented them with little sums of money at Christmas and offered to give them machinery for nothing. She had agents for collecting the rent.
    This land-lady inherited this prosperity from her father who however got it at the time of the plantation.
