  1. There is a Treasure Hidden in Cormacks bog Fertagh, Johnstown, Co Kilkenny. It was hidden by the monks of Fertagh because they were afraid Cromwell would get them. There was a silver bell and altar vessels in it. A man named Loughman went about looking for it but he did not succeed. It is said that it is there yet. There is a light often seen there by the people of the district.
    There is another Treasure Hidden in Ballyspellen, Johnstown, Co Kilkenny. Two men were digging a field, a monk came over and said "What are ye digging for" and they said for stones. He said that there was Treasure Hidden about a hundred yards from them. They dug for
