    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    A great trade in olden days was the woolen trade. There were woolen mills all over the country but in every home there was a spinning wheel and every night the men and women would sit down by the well and be spinning. When they used to shear the sheep they used to carry the wool to the mill and get it made into cards they used carry the cards home and spin them into thread. They used to knit socks and other clothes out of the thread.
