    The birds commonly found round our district are the robin, blackbird, thrush, crow, willy wag tail, stonechat, magpie, the wren and the lark.
    The robin builds her nest in the bank. She has white speckled eggs, her nest is built of hay and feathers.
    The blackbird builds in the bottom of a hedge. Her nest is built of thorns and hay. She has blue eggs.
    The thrush builds in low hedges. Her eggs are blue with black specks. The thrushes nest is built of hay lined neatly inside with mud.
    The crow builds in a tree. Her eggs are blue. The crows nest is built of sticks and sheep's wool.
    The willy wag tail builds in the eaves of houses. Her nest
