  1. Fairies.
    One Summer evening my aunt Mrs. Flood was in her shop in Fisherstown. There is a cross-roads at the shop. There were a few people in the shop at this time.
    A little woman came into the shop. She was about two feet in height. She was dressed in beautiful clothes and had lovely long hair. She asked Mrs. Flood for some tea and sugar and then went out. Mrs. Flood asked one of the men that was in the shop to go out to see what road she went. By this time she could not have been any farther than the door.
    When the man went out he looked along the four roads and saw no sign of the little
