This was told to me by my Father. - A '98 story in connection with Carns, Tulsk, Co. RoscommonIt was in the real bad times in '98 when there was fighting going on all over the country and the French had landed in kilalla that there was a party of English soldiers going down to help beat back the French. On their way they had to pass through Carns Passing through a large field they saw a young girl named Connor milking a cow. There was a big thirst(continues on next page)
