  1. Long ago there lived in Sceacanóir a very poor woman. She dreamt three nights that a crock of gold was hidden under the corner of a bridge in London and her dream seemed so clear to her that she thought she had no trouble but to go and get the gold. One day she went and found the bridge and when she arrived there she met a man and she told him her story. He said it was a foolish journey. I am dreaming myself he said almost every night of the week that there is a place in Ireland by the name of Sceacanóir where a crock of gold is hidden under a whitehorn bush in a field near a house. When she heard that news she returned home thinking in her own mind that it might be in her own field. When she came home she told the story and they searched and found the crock of gold with a flag on top of it. After a while they became poor again when the gold was spent. They noticed writing on the flag but
