  1. 1. Potatoes should be sown from the 1st February to the 1st May. Onions should be sown the shortest day in the year and pulled the longest day in the year. Friday is thought lucky for sewing potatoes. Some varieties of corn should be sown from November to February and other varieties from February to April. If cabbage is sown in January it will never go to seed.

  2. 2 Some days of the week are said to be lucky days and other days are said to be unlucky. There is an old rhyme about the days of the week thus:-
    "Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for crosses
    Friday for losses
    And Saturday no luck at all"
    On a Monday it is an old saying that you should not change money. Another saying
