    Our farm is situated in the townland of Lisgoan. The names of the fields are, the three cornered field, the bush field, the fort field the field over the glen, the gravel hole field, the hanging hill. The names of the other fields are páirc na tobar, the upper golla which means a wet field. Kitty's garden called because an old woman named Kitty Clerkin lived in it. Máipe bán's half acre because an old woman had her house in a garden with a half acre. The bleach field called because long ago people used to bleach the home spun linen in it. The broom field so called because people used to get dye out of the broom bush to dye home spun linen. The bunille field called because people used
