  1. On Monday evening at about four o'clock a very sad accident occurred between Kiltormer and Aughrim. At a very dangerous turn of the road there was a little named Mary Cahill coming home from the shop. A purse fell out of her pocket and as she turned round to pick it up a Ford car came round the turn and as the driver could not stop the car he hit against the girl and injured her badly.
The doctor and priest were sent for but they were too late. She died about five minutes afterwards.
