  1. Local Place Names 22-3-1938
The names of some fields on my farm are:-
Grannie's Garden, Ferny Field, Coen's Garden, The little Field, The Clover Hill, The well Park.
Grannie's Garden got it's ma,e because she used to be in it always fixing flowers in it. Ferny field because there are always ferns growing in it. Coen's Garden got it's name from people that was living in it named Coen's, but they are not living in it now. They are dead. The Little Field got it's name because it is only a small field. The Clover ill because there is clover growing on it. The Well Park got it's name because there is a well in one corner of it. There are no streams no hollows no rocks on my farm.
