  1. Sty on eye. Rub with wedding ring or point
    gooseberry torn three times at "In the name of
    the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Ghost.
    Warts: wash in smelly trough or in stagnant water found in holes in stones OR, rub a pebble
    to each wart & place the pebbles in a bag or casadóir & drop on the road. The finder will
    take your warts.
    To banish Fleas. Scatter leaves of wild spearmint on bed, in bed & on floor, or get three stalks of the fox-glove "of equal length"
    & place under the bed. All the fleas will congregate in the flowers by morning. "You
    'll catch millions sucking the honey".
    Cobblers' wax used to draw a boil, or matter
    from a small festering sore.
    Cancer on lip cured by application of goose egg & ortha na h-aillse
