- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)"Drunánas" famous for the comely strong girls who live there, and no young man ever came to this village looking for a wife, who returned without selecting one, and real good housewives they made. In olden times the people of this village had long distances to travel to get to portion of their land. To meet this trouble they cooked the dinner after breakfast, took it with them with donkey and creels, drove the cattle with them and just had time for two hour's work, swallow their dinner, and be home just after dusk with their cattle.
People who lived near this lake long ago, and who were out very early in the morning often saw a snow white horse grazing on the ground adjoining. All went well till at the sound of a human voice it rushed into the lake making a terrible splash, then, dead calmness.
