Long ago the people used to spin wool and sell lime. For eating the used to have cabbage and salt bread and water.
In those days there was no oil. What they used to have for a lamp was a piece of bog-deal. People that could not get bog deal used to pull rushes and knot them together and in this way they used to make light. In that way they used to rear no cows only goats and sheep
