The first thing the boy did was to go to the wood and cut down two trees the branches of which he tied together to make a flail.
He returned home and started to thresh, but he was not long threshing until he had knocked the roof off the house.
When the neighbouring men saw the strength of this boy, they began to get afraid of him and they planned to kill him, for they said that in time to come he would kill them.
One day they invited him to a party which they were going to hold on an island which was situated in the middle of a lake, which was only a short distance from their homes.
