Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to hit it. The boy that hits the ground farthest away from the button has to leave his top down. Then the other boys cord their tops and spin them and lift them up in their hands and hit the top that is left down. When any of them fails he has to leave his top down. When the top goes into the ring the other boys take it and hit it three times with the spikes of their tops. Summer is the time for banging buttons. In banging buttons a boy strikes a button against the wall. Another boy strikes another button against the wall and aims at the other button. If he can span from button to button he wins.
"High Windows" is played by a number of girls. All join hands and make as large a circle as possible. Then one goes round and strikes the others on the back. The one she strikes hardest is to follow her round, in and out under the other girls' hands until she catches her. When the girl is caught she has to go into the ring and the other goes round and goes through the same performance.
