- The Drowning Disaster in Lacken Bay October 1927.
The night of last big wind fell on the 28th of October 1927. It did not seem to be a bad night at first. There was only a little black spot in the northern part of the sky. The fishermen did not mind it for they thought it would only be a shower. All at once it blew and some of the boats that were out far were unable to come come ashore. There were ten boats, and they were all saved but one. There were eight men in that boat that was lost. There were four Goldricks two Kearneys one Lynott and one Coulican. There names were Michael Goldricks and Pat Goldrick these were brothers. Tom(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
