Young People of Moygownagh, Lament both young and old, Since we have lost our patriot priest, The shepherd of our fold.

    On the Florence Knox Estate
    The day of his burial
The Lord Bishop he was there,
    With clergy of the Diocese
We all did join in prayer.
The people all both great and small
    Shed many a bitter teer,
Its in the Chapel of Moygownagh
    Lay he in his beir.
This song was composed by Phelim O'Boyle R.I.P. A man who lived in the house which is now occupied by Mr. John Melvin.
