  1. It was believed that great footballers were taken away by "good people" at night to play football with them. That the kicking of the ball and the shouting and cheering of the "Good People" could be heard on calm nights.
    A story is told of one of these football matches when there was one living man on each side. They never met before and did not disclose to one another wh othey were. Some time later both men accidently met in Cork and knew one another and talked about the football match that they played against one another with the "Good People".
    It was said that one man was dark haired and the other red haired and that they were the finest men in the country. The red haired man was of such a fine man that the dark haired man said that he could not fail to identify him if he met him again. The dark haired man, who was said to have
