    is always a very disagreeable odour of horses' hooves, because the smith has to burn them with a large red hot poker.
    The forge is square in shape. At the top there is a large furnace which is built of bricks. It is built round and divided into four compartments. On the right hand side there is a large iron bellows.
    The blacksmith is very strong and tall. He wears a leather apron tied with a strip of leather around it. He makes gates and wheels.
