The people gathered around to prevent his arrest. martin drew his sword and wounded a few men, when one woman rushed in and threw her shawl around martins head, and the men killed him with paling posts which they pulled off a fence though he had an army of 300 men within a 100 yards of him. There were several people imprisoned but no one was ever hanged.
