Ar an leathanach seo

The groigins are made by putting four sods standing on their ends and a sod or two on the top. They dry quickly this way. They are re-footed after that and by the end of the Summer the turf is saved.
It must be put out on the road side then, before it can be taken home. A donkey and cleeves are used. First a kesk is made over the seoch or drain. When brought to the side of the road it is made into a clamp and it dries in the clamps.
It is left there till the farmer has time to take it home with his horse and cart. A crib is put on the cart.
Some farmers now employs lorries to take home the ruf. It is then made into a clamp near the house where it will(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
