- St Fintan's well is on the south side of Howth, on St Fintan's Road near the graveyard, on the road from Sutton Cross to the Summit. It is called the Wishing Well sometimes. They called it by that name, because the people say, if you drink the water from your hands, leave some offering of any kind and walk round it three times and wish each time, you will get one of your wishes before a year is out.Any day will do. There is no special day for doing this.
