It is a custom in this locality for straw-boys to go into the house on the night of the wedding. They bring a tin-can with them looking for porter. They then go out under a bush and drink it. Then they go in again looking for more. Some people do not like them on account of their queer dress for they dress lu Orighidógas.
Nearby all the people around here get married about nine o'clock int he morning. After being married they go to Galway and remain there for three or four houses. Then they come home and invite all te neighbours to a feast that night. They feast generally lasts the whole night and there is great rejoicing.
