  2. I asked my father, who is now about forty-five years old, what sort of rattle he had when he was young. He told me that the only one he had was a canister (the lid fixed firmly) and a small stone inside to make "noise."
    "This may not be as swanky as the one we see now-a-days" said he, "but it was everlasting, and it amused us just as well."
