When they see a new moon they bless themselves. When they hear thunder they say three Hail Marys and sometimes they say the Rosery.
When the people see a person falling they say God bless us.
It is said that if you would say these prayers you would go to Heaven. - There was a man living in this district once. His name was Michael Corly. He was a great Irish speaker and a poet and he could play a bag-pipe. He used to go about the country playing on his bag-pipe.(continues on next page)
