  1. Long ago when Saint Patrick was building a wall round the cemetery in Glenade he ran short of money and asked for some from a man whose name was Cromdhú. Cromdhú said that he had no money, but that he would give him a bull, thinking at the same time, that this wild animal would kill the Saint Patrick took the bull and killed him in order to (fo) feed his men who were working for him. Cromdhú enraged because the bull did not kill the Saint, went back and asked him to return the animal. Saint Patrick placed the skin on the bone and brayed a while over it, then the bull assumed his own shape again and followed Cromdhú to his own house. He killed him as he was entering his own gate and then the bull disappeared in the air and was never seen again.
