“Very often potatoes are sown in drills.”
Very often potatoes are sown in drills. The drills are made in a garden in which some other crops especially oats were sown the previous year. The ground is ploughed up at first in the beginning of Spring and then it is rolled and harrowed. When the soil is sufficiently ready the drills are open. This is done by the means of a plough.
