   and when you move the stool the wheel starts to revolve While the wheel is revolving the thread is a makeing and a rolling on to the "Spindle". Now the wool is spun into wisted. I know two houses where spinning wheels are. Namely Ms Wrynns, Gorvagh, Gorvagh p..o., County Leitrim and Ms Confrey's, Doonaragh, Gorvagh p..o., County Leitrim

   Stockings, Ladies frocks, Jerseys, and other things can be knitted from this wisted.

   Weaving

   There were three men in my district who used to weave Namely Joe Leatimore, Aughaboneil, Foxfield p..o., County Leitrim and Edward Heeran, Aughaboneil, Foxfield p..o., County Leitrim and Francis Donelly, Arrady, Foxfield p..o., County Leitrim

   Long ago the people used to sow their own flax. When this flax grew and ripened they cut it. After cutting it they used to bring it to the bog and steep it. When it pods it commenced to swell. Then they would bring it home and spread it on the grass to dry. When dry they used to beetle it. Then they used to gather a lot of women skutchers to skutch it. Then they used to make hanks out of it. Then they used to bring these hanks to the weaver to be manafactured. The weaver used to make sheets and ticks and mens and womens underwear. When people got these things weaved they brought them home and bleached them.
