Ar an leathanach seo
- In the olden times it was customary in this locality for a married woman to accompany the bride and party to the Church and it was also the custom for the bride to wear something borrowed and something new. It was a rule to tie an old shoe to the carriage and to throw the tongs after them for good luck.
The old people had a superstition that if the bridal party met a funeral or a red-haired person on the road that it was very unlucky. It was also believed if it was a wet day that the bride and bridegroom would shed as many tears during their lives as the raindrops that fell on that day.
The wedding was generally held at the brides house and it was a usual thing that a crowd of(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
