- Potatoes.
First they are brought in out of the field where they had been during Winter. Then the women or the men split them. The land is ploughed into ridges or drills.
Holes are then made in the ridges with the sribin. The splits are dropped into the holes and covered with clay. The ridge is about two feet wide. The holes are left six inches apart in width, and a foot in length. There is a furrow left between every two ridges. The potatoes are covered when the are about a fortnight down.
