- Not very far from Sligo town is Knocknareagh Hill. Queen Maeve is supposed to be buried on the top of that hill. Each person that visits it throws a stone at the mound, on leaving the summit of the hill.
At night a woman dressed in white was often seen on it. This was supposed to be Queen Maeve's ghost.
A man named John Lyons who is still alive, saw the ghost.
Another man and he were up at the hill but John forgot to throw a stone at the mound.
When they came down John asked the other man who was that woman just gone down the road, dressed in white. The other man did not see her.- Bailitheoir
