Ar an leathanach seo
- We have a churn at home. Its height is two feet and six inches. The circumference at the bottom is five feet and ten inches, and the circumferene at the top is five feet and eight inches. Half ways between the top and bottom is the narrowest part of it, which is five feet and three inches in circumference. The sides of it are round, and is fifteen years old.There are various parts of it; these parts are called the crib, (?) the leggin, the lid, the dash, the capp and the staff. Butler is made four times every week in Summer because the milk is more plentiful then than in Winter. In Winter it is only made about once every fortnight. When the churning is being done everyone usually helps. If a stranger happened to come in he would take the dash for a little while as it said to be unlucky if he (she) would not.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
