  1. One night there was a man out late. As he was coming along the road he heard a strange noise. He looked around and he got very much afraid. The next thing the noise passed him out and stopped his animal. He looked to see what caused the noise and found it was a bunch of cats. One of the cats said, " Man, Man when you go home tell Tom Gamaroe that Kate Hogan is dead. He went home and he was telling his wife the tale when his own black cat jumped out from under a chair and said "t'anam ón diabhal an é máthair mo leanbhaí go léir atá marbh" and he ran out the door screaming and bawling and never came back again.

  2. About twenty years ago there was a woman who had two lovely children. They were about ten months old. At the age of nine months they became very cranky and nothing would please them and they wasted away very much. The mother was very troubled about them.
This day she was going to the well.
