  1. Rathgrumley
There is a rath in the town land of Rathgrumley about one mile across the fields west from the moat of Ardscull. It is a square rath having a bank all round and a lot of trees. But there are no trees facing the South-east.
On the north side of the rath there stands stands a cross and it is said that many Priests were hanged and buried there in the year 1798. It is said that they were all buried in the one place and the cross was put over where they were buried. There is about a rede of land in the middle of the rath.
Patrick Dempsey told me this story.
