  1. There are many ways for playing "Donkey" but this is the way I play it. Any number of persons under ten can play. The whole thing is to get five of the one suit. A person gives out five cards to each player and six to himself. He passes one of his cards to the next player, and they keep passing until one of the players gets five suits of either diamonds, hearts, spades, or clubs. He throws down his cards and all the rest throw them down. The player whose cards are down last is the "Donkey".
