- 2. Travelling people often visit our house. It is the same people that always visit us. They sell tarpaulin and holy pictures. Some people buy their wares. They get their goods from foreign countries. Some people like to have them coming and welcome them. Other people do not like them. Sometimes the travelling people remain only one night but othertimes they would stay a few days or a week. Most of them take what they get, but some of them would not take anything but money. If they have no caravan they travel on foot. The best known of them in this district are the Mackinernies and the Browns. They come at every time of the year. They do not bring any stories or news from other parts of the country.
- 3. A family by the name of Tuohys travelled around this district long ago. These people were travelling around this district for a good many years. This family was very poor. The men were sweeps, and also they made articles of tin. They also mended tinware. The women used to sell small(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
