“Mrs Crowe has a cure for healing severe burns or scalds without leaving a scar. ...”
Mrs Crowe has a cure for healing severe burns or scalds without leaving a scar. She gets the stalks of a plant or herb and boils them in fresh, unsalted butter until the stalks are soft and thoroughly mixed with the butter. When cooled, this is like an ointment, she puts it in jars, and will make it for anyone if they bring her the butter, but she jealously guards the name of the plant she uses.
This cure has been known in her husband's family for generations, and was given to her by her sister-in law.- Faisnéiseoir
