    Dear Mother, ¶ Two girls came in to the school yesterday and gave every one of us a penny to buy sweets for ourselves.

    Dear Mother, Two girls came in to the school yesterday and gave every one of us a penny to buy sweets for ourselves. But we gave the pennies to the teacher and she bought the sweets for us. The girl that gave us the pennies wore a black cap, a brown skirt and brown jacket, brown pair of shoes and brown pair of stockings. The other girl wore a white blouse, a green shirt and a black pair of shoes and a grey jacket. They were very nice girls. They were leaving yesterday
