    When you hear the cuckoo put your foot on the ground and if there is a hair under it you will be in luck.
    Carry a black thorn stick to keep away the ghosts.
    If you find a horseshoe throw it over your shoulder for luck.
    If the goats come home early in the evening it is a sign of thunder.
    If the chickens stand on one leg it is a sign of rain.
    If the cat washes over its ears it is a sign of a storm.
