    Hog's lard and sulphur made into an ointment; also unsalted butter, also mutton fat.

    A large bunch of watercress to be steeped in water with sugar added and the mixture taken several times a day. Also to drink the water in which turnips have been boiled.
    9 A Cure for Sprain
    A weaver's thread to bind the part.
    10 A Cure for Féar Gorta
    A mouthful of oatmeal.
    11 For a toothache
    Stuffing the tooth with tobacco, creasote on cotton wool, or oil of cloves.
    12 A Cure for a stye
    Is to point a thorn from a white thorn bush at it three times every day until it disappears.
