- There is a stone in the townland of Tullinahoo called the Giant Stone. This stone is of a lemon shape about six feet long and five feet wide. There are finger prints in it also. It was cast from Knock to this townland a distance of about five miles. It is said that a pot of gold is hidden under this stone and this gold is guarded by a woman and a cat. It is also said that six men from Claremorris came to look for the pot of gold but were attacked by the cat and they died soon afterwards.
