Speak of Erins Isle
Its lofty scenes its valleys green
Its mountains rude and wild.
You say itis a lovely place
Where in a prince might dwell
And why did you abandon it
The reason to me tell

Oh son you were but two years old
And feeble was your frame
I could not leave you
With your friends
You bore your father's name.
I wrapped you in my córa mór
At the dead of night unseen
I hevaed a sigh and bad goodbye
To dear old Erins Isle.

Your mother two God rest her God rest her soul
Lay on the snowy ground
She in her anger fainted
At the desolated found
She never rose but passed away
From life to mortal dreams
