- It was a custom long ago that "folpars" or straw - boys as they were called used to come to the wedding house. About forty years or so they used to come and one man leading them. This man would be called the Captain. They used to have straw hats and straw around their legs. The "folpars" used to have an overcoat turned inside out on them so that they would not be known. One man was always dressed in woman's clothes.(continues on next page)
