- Ballinatample or in Irish Baile an Teampuill is a village in the Parish of Meelick.
It is evident that in olden times there was a Church there.
In the highest part of the village the remains of the old Church are still to be seen.
The Church in size is about fifty feet long and twenty feet wide.
The walls of the church are still standing to a height of seven feet.
About fifteen yards to the South of the Church there is a cave which can be entered by removing a flag which covers the entrance.
The walls of the cave are built with stone and roofed with stone.
It is not known how far the cave extends but it is generally believed to be connected with another cave which may be found to the North of the Church.
To the North of the Church there is a fort of circular shape.
From the top of this fort on a clear day can be seen the spires of six churches(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
