- The following are the names on our land.
Our land:-
is so called Claganach meaning a head in the penal law a prisoner excaped from the Carra house and was captured bewteen our land and McKenzie. His head was cut off and put on a spear on McKenzie gate. The reason it was put there to drive fear into the people.
Ráthan:-
is so called meaning a rath where people used to hide in the penal laws and there supposed to be large rooms underneath. Ráthan the time of the civil war sheltered a big portion of the republican army. They had a large dig out there also. It is a great hidden place now a days for foxes.
The Loch:-
This field is so called because there is a big long lake in the middle of it and there is a well running into it. During the civil war it sheltered a republican army.
Garradha Anna:-
