- Water GunsWater guns were made by cutting a piece of stick eighteen inches long off an Alderberry tree. The pulp in the centre of the stick was taken out. Then there was a cork with a hole in the centre of it inserted of one end of the stick. A piston was then made by twisting toe or flax around a strong rod so as to fit tightly into the gun. The piston was then pressed into the gun until it reached the cork. Then the gun put into water and the piston drawn back loaded it.
