    a rat-hole in the floor. It wasn't long, however, until a big rat with a paper in his mouth was seen leaving the house, being followed by large numbers of other rats. All marched in one long line after the first one, and they went in the direction of where a bog lay. That night the man hadn't one single rat in the house, and he slept in peace for one night in a long time.
